Within the ubiquitous
Gazing at the presence in awe inspired plenteous
Arranged amongst the despots of yore
To stride in time looking to swim ashore

With no desire of rhythm coated harangue
Backing into the corner with no one to entertain
Despite the direction of signature maneuvers
Breaking into a cold sweat swearing with random fervors

Intriguing way to spark conversation amongst the emotionalism

Deflecting light in three stages straight from diamond coated prism

Feelings held as described medically as vascoconstrictive
Dripping from the uncontained metal coated sieve

Abiding ubiquitous
Afternoons with quiet reminisce
Nights of interlingual rendition
Speak in a lexicon of letters to take a position

Yiorgos' Bio

Yiorgos’ delicately rendered graphite drawings reflect the sublime stoicism of Greek architecture. A Greek American, Yiorgos grew up hearing stories about his family’s years in Greece and their struggles during World War II. He became fascinated with his heritage, traveling to Santorini, Mykonos, The Cyclades and other Greek locales and observing them carefully. Based on photographs he has taken, Yiorgos’ black and white drawings are triumphant as they depict empty streets, white-washed walls, and uninterrupted expanses of sky or sea. Despite the absence of figures or other direct signs of daily life, the drawings reverberate with the liveliness of Greek history. The colorless quietude in Yiorgos’ scenes is open-ended, inviting viewers to imagine the vibrant colors and activity that shaped them. The extreme detail with which Yiorgos draws captures the nuances of Mediterranean landscape while also imbuing it with a nostalgic splendor. Born in Asbury Park, Yiorgos lives and works in Long Branch, New Jersey.
