Despite
Despite what is, despite what is not. Despite the sweat I feel not the hot. Inevitably I feel the moon as it pulls. Inevitably I am the sea and the tide. It is what is trapped inside. I am pulled by the universe’s creation. I am intrigued by the changing times and the recent direction. Indeed it is intriguing and after all many agree. Despite the inevitability within what I know is me. Once upon a time it was I who sailed the sea. Once upon that same time on my boat it was the wind that accompanied me. Against the tide I fought at first however through my discovery I learned that the tide can assist me in my future. Realization… Determination… Rejuvenation… Sun beats down on my shoulders and rain washes the worry away. I dance in the droplets and allow them to soak my skin. In order to feel the inevitability I feel the droplets on my face… on my skin… on my mind… Despite the rain, despite the sun I continue. I stretch out my arms to absorb. I stretch out my mind to understand. I stretch out my arms… I stretch out my mind… From the past to my present I see what it is. I can be what it was. I dream of what can be. I am inescapably me. Within a certain level of illusion I see time but not in a physical form. I feel the time contained in what is described as the norm. May the days of yore teach me of what the future has in store.
